This is a core module for the MArabic. It is composed of five forms of structured activity: i) preparatory sessions to prepare you for specific work placements/research projects which will take place in term 3 of year 1; ii) a guided application process to place you with relevant media organisations, NGOs or other companies in the Middle East; iii) a 100 hour work placement in an Arabic speaking country, usually taken during a period of language study abroad in the second year; iv) meetings with an academic advisor.
This core module is only available to students on the MArabic programme. The work placement is designed to complement the study of the language on the year abroad with a practical application of the skills acquired that will further enhance your ability to apply your theoretical knowledge of the region and enhance your future employability.
