Placement/Study Abroad | 440 | Lectures and practical classes at host institution in destination country in standard Arabic (written) and spoken Arabic. Currently, teaching hours at the host institution are 5 per day from Sunday to Thursday. This is approximately 153 hours /51 days over each term, taking into consideration festivities and national holidays |
Placement/Study Abroad | 560 | Reading for lectures and classes; preparation and completion of coursework; and revision for written and oral examinations. Students are given a task to prepare a range of activities for class, activities include reading, learning vocabulary, learning grammar and listening. These are then discussed and activated in class through interactive learning sessions |

Guided independent study | 100 | For work placement: Independent and assisted preparation for placement: Contact with organisation, arrangements for travel, accommodation and visa (where necessary), arrangement of work activities, communication with appointed academic advisor and with work supervisor.
