Postdoctoral Research Associate
Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Exeter with the Digital Archive of the Middle East (DAME) project. I am a member of the European Centre for Palestine Studies (ECPS) and Centre for Gulf Studies (CGS). My research intersects the fields of political geography, political economy, urban studies, and area studies. My current project investigates the relationship between urban planning and colonial counterinsurgency in the Arab Peninsula 1940s-1970s.

Prior to joining the University of Exeter, I held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Tampere University, Spaces of Political Agency Research Group (SPARG), with the Present-Futures in/of Palestine project, and a Teaching Fellowship at the University of Bath (2023-2024). I am also Lecturer in Political Economy at Boston University, London since 2024 and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Edinburgh since 2025.
