Bingzhong Li comes from Shaanxi Normal University. He  is an Honorary Research Fellow at the IAIS and CKS where he works in cooperation with Professor Stansfield. His research interest focuses on Turkey's history, politics and foreign relationship. His PhD dissertation was about Turkey's EU Membership.

He has published articles on Turkey's Kurdish issue, democracy in Turkey, and Turkey's foreign policy. He is currently conducting research on the History of Turkey and its Kurdish issue at the University of Exeter, Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, Centre for Kurdish Studies.
